DAY THIRTY THREE
April 5th, 2018
READ | 2 CORINTHIANS 4:13-15
In verse 13, Paul quotes Psalm 116:10, which says, “I believed, even when I said, ‘I am greatly troubled.’” Paul explains that even if we know the truth, it can sometimes be difficult to believe and act on it, but when we choose to believe, even when it’s hard, we get to see God move in ways we could have never imagined on our own, which leads us to greater and deeper worship.
After I graduated from college, I wound up working three different jobs just to pay rent. Even though I had seen God miraculously provide in other times of my life, in that season, I secretly wondered if God would come through for me. I knew the truth, but struggled to believe it. When God showed up and showed off, it was even more meaningful, because I knew God wasn’t just providing for me, He was growing my faith.
Building Brentwood can feel scary at times. It’s a big commitment, and it’s easy to wonder if God really will show up and show off. However, when we trust in spite of our fears, it’s an opportunity for God to show up in ways that give Him even more glory!
What does it look like for you to trust God in Building Brentwood?
